Televisions suffer the most in the high voltage areas of the set. Because these areas get hot (nature of their design), this heat causes eventual failure of the the components in these areas.

Picture problems are becoming very common.  Backlight LED's failure can be one of the causes for this, but for most common TV's, backlights kits can be sourced and get you going again for much less than the price of a new TV. Most TV problems are easily rectified and well worth getting it looked at before considering buying a new TV.  Many people think that nothing is worth repairing anymore which is not the case!  If there is an expensive repair required we will advise you first before repair and a recommendation as to would it be better to repair or go buy a new one.

VCR / DVD Repairs

Most common problems which occurs with most VCR's is blocking up of the video heads usually caused by poor quality tapes.  Old tapes are very common for causing issues as well as kids tapes as they are usually played over and over and just wear out!
 This problem can be rectified by a professional clean & service of the tape mechanism assembly.  (We DO NOT recommend cleaning tapes! They firstly cannot perform a clean and service anyway and can be the cause of costly repairs.)
VCR's should be serviced every 6-12mths depending on use.

HiFi / Vintage Audio Repairs

HiFi systems today are making a come-back, with vinyl records available and the nostalgia of the past, people are bring back to good old HiFi's out of the shed and getting some good quality sounds back in their lounge rooms.
There are many problems such failed belts and rubbers that need replacing and/or cleaning to get it all back to good again.  Most of these types of parts are still available and worth spending a bit of time and money on because replacement is usually not a option or close to compare with the quality of some of these older units.  You can't really compare many of these units with the cheap junk you can buy today. Repair what you have and know some history about.
